Why almost everything you find is out of date
Search his name and the results skew hard towards 2015 to 2018. That is when the coverage happened, and coverage does not update itself. The write-ups from then are still the highest-ranking pages, and the speaker bureaus that list him lead with the same framing because it is the one that gets a click.
The result is a search page about a child, for a man who has been an adult for four years and an engineer at IBM for several. If you found this page looking for what he is doing now, that gap is the reason.
The current answer, plainly
He is an AI and software architect at IBM. That is his job, it is current, and it is the thing that shapes everything he says on a stage: he is speaking about work he does, not work he covers.
He is the author of four technology books, published by Manning, Packt and McGraw Hill. One of them, on IBM Watson, was written with Rob High, then Watson's Chief Technology Officer.
He has spoken at TED@IBM, at the Linux Foundation's Open Source Summit, and on the nasscom main stage, and in 2026 he keynoted People Summit in Bengaluru and ran a masterclass at INFOCOM in Hyderabad.
The quiet years, since you will find them anyway
The record is dense from 2016 to 2018, thin from 2019 to 2022, and empty from 2023 to 2025. He was working rather than touring. Any page that presents his archive as a continuous run of appearances is smoothing over a real gap, which is why every talk on this site carries its year.
He is speaking again from 2026, and the argument he is making now is different from the one he was making at eighteen. It is about autonomous agents and who is accountable for what they do.
On the framing you have probably read
Almost every mention of him online reaches for the same word, and it belongs to a twelve-year-old who has not existed for ten years. It is not how he describes himself and it is not what an audience gets.
What an audience gets is a working engineer who happens to have started very early. That matters mainly because he remembers what it is like to not understand something, which is a useful quality in a speaker and a different claim from the one on the bureau pages.
